Monica Dangler began working in animal welfare at the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society in 2009, where she was able to use her consumer science education and 15 years professional experience to manage their off-site events team and recruit volunteers to support increased events and fundraising. In 2012, Monica became the Shelter Director at PAWS Shelter and Humane Society in Kyle, TX. At PAWS, she grew the volunteer and foster programs which led to increasing the number of lives saved while building relationships in the Central Texas rescue community. In 2015, Monica joined Austin Pets Alive as the Volunteer Coordinator and is continuing to grow the massive volunteer component that supports APA’s lifesaving mission.
